Intro to Building Social Safety for Young People, Families, and the Workforce (SAY001)


Description
This training experience provides foundational information about creating social safety for youth and the impact of supportive caregiving. Participants will learn to recognize the ways in which youth are unique and demonstrate acceptance for youth using a non-judgmental manner. The session will discuss the impact of bias, myths, and misinformation on developing youth; recognize the impact of rejection and acceptance by family and/or community on young people who express themselves differently and operationalize more supportive social service practices.

This is an instructor-led course. Going through the units will lead you to registration for the live training event, which is hosted via Microsoft Teams.
